Special Correspondent: “Novogen is a balanced, adaptable breed truly built for Bangladesh.” With these confident and compelling words, Moshiur Rahman, Managing Director of Paragon Group, captured the attention of the entire audience at the Paragon–Novogen seminar held at Hotel Sheraton, Dhaka on 22 November (Saturday). His remarks, delivered with clarity and long-term industry vision, immediately set the tone for a discussion that resonated across the country’s layer farming community.
Moshiur Rahman emphasized that the Paragon–Novogen partnership is not just a business relationship but a 17-year journey of shared innovation, field research, and constant adaptation. Reflecting on Paragon’s introduction of Novogen GP to Bangladesh in 2009, he recalled the strategic goal behind the decision: to identify a layer breed that could withstand local sanitary pressures, meet consumer-driven market demand, and offer farmers a reliable and economical option for sustainable production.

He highlighted how continuous data sharing between Paragon and Novogen R&D teams has allowed both sides to refine and select the most locally adapted layer lines. This long-term collaboration, he said, has helped Novogen emerge as one of the most trusted genetic solutions for Bangladeshi producers—robust in performance, consistent in egg weight, and exceptional in hatchery output. He noted that Bangladesh often surpasses global benchmarks in CS chicks per brown layer, proving that Novogen adapts remarkably well to local conditions.
Moshiur Rahman added that farmers benefit significantly from Novogen’s early achievement of desirable egg weight and its superior shell color, which matches consumer preference and brings marketing advantage in commercial markets. Describing Novogen as “a breed shaped for our farmers,” he credited Novogen’s technical support teams for providing full-circle assistance in management, nutrition, veterinary care, and hatchery operations.

His speech, filled with practical insight and confidence, positioned Novogen not just as a product but as a strategic tool for national progress in poultry production. Leaders, experts, and producers attending the seminar praised his forward-looking stance, acknowledging that such clarity and commitment are essential for strengthening Bangladesh’s position in the global layer landscape.
The event, jointly organized by Paragon Group and Novogen, reaffirmed the power of long-term collaboration and research-backed decision-making. With Moshiur Rahman’s message at the center, the seminar left the industry with renewed optimism and a clear direction for the future—one where genetics, field experience, and farmer-focused solutions drive sustainable growth for Bangladesh’s layer industry.
