
Special Correspondent: The Intestinal Inflammation Summit 2025 was successfully held on October 16 (Thursday) at Hotel Le Meridien, Dhaka, jointly hosted by Innovad and Planet Pharma. The high-profile event brought together global poultry experts, academicians, industrialists, nutritionists, consultants, and senior officials from across the poultry industry, marking a significant milestone in advancing scientific understanding of intestinal health and sustainable feed production.
The program was anchored by Mr. Robert (Bob) Nichol, Business Director – Asia Pacific, Innovad Group. In his opening remarks, he warmly welcomed all participants and provided a brief overview of the summit’s objectives, the keynote speakers and Innovad’s global commitment to innovative and sustainable poultry solutions.

Following his introduction, Mr. Shah Fahad Habib, Director of Planet Pharma, delivered the welcome speech, emphasizing the long-standing collaboration between Innovad and Planet Pharma and their shared vision to enhance poultry productivity through advanced nutrition and intestinal health management.
The keynote sessions featured an impressive lineup of international experts. Mr. Gregory Hargreave, Senior Consultant of Innovad, discussed the relationship between poultry feed production and intestinal inflammation, sharing his experience from decades in the poultry sector and his ongoing research with the University of Sydney to achieve a 1:1 feed conversion ratio in broilers.

Mr. Michele Muccio, Regional Technical Manager of Innovad – Asia Pacific, highlighted the intestinal inflammatory relationship between mycotoxins, leaky gut, and antimicrobial resistance (AMR), stressing the importance of preventive measures in modern poultry management.
Dr. Fernando Trajano Lima, Global Technical Manager, Innovad (Poultry Health), presented an in-depth session on inflammation, sub-clinical biomarkers, and clinical symptoms, focusing on early detection tools for better gut health and bird performance.
Dr. Mohammad Shahriar Hoque, Manager (Technical & Sales), also delivered a practical and field-based presentation on “Practical Cocci Updates,” which drew strong engagement from industry professionals.

Distinguished guest Mr. Moshiur Rahman, Managing Director of Paragon Group, attended the event and delivered an impactful speech on biosecurity and poultry waste management. He urged poultry farmers to prioritize these areas to ensure cost-effective, safe, and sustainable poultry production.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Mr. Shah Habibul Haque, Managing Director of Planet Group, who expressed heartfelt thanks to all the speakers, participants, and organizers for their contribution to the summit’s success.
