Special Correspondent : Bangladesh’s poultry, feed and animal nutrition community came together in Dhaka on Saturday (September 5) at a major industry gathering that brought together leading professionals, technical experts and decision-makers to explore the latest developments in animal nutrition, feed efficiency and production performance.
Titled “APEX by Adisseo – Advancing Performance & Efficiency Excellence,” the high-profile event was jointly organized by Adisseo and Adyan Agro Ltd. and drew a broad cross-section of Bangladesh’s animal health and poultry industry, including nutritionists, entrepreneurs, feed mill engineers, scientists, consultants and senior officials from the poultry and feed sectors.
Held at Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport, the event provided a timely platform for industry stakeholders to exchange knowledge, discuss emerging technologies and examine practical solutions to some of the key challenges facing modern poultry production. The official program began with registration at 4:00 PM and featured a series of strategic and technical sessions delivered by Adisseo’s regional and technical specialists.
The gathering reflected the growing importance of science-driven nutrition and precision technologies in an industry where feed efficiency, production costs and animal performance are increasingly interconnected. For Bangladesh’s poultry sector, which continues to evolve toward more efficient and technology-based production systems, such platforms offer an opportunity to connect global technical expertise with local industry realities.
The program opened with a welcome address by Dr. Uttam Dutta, Sales Manager – Bangladesh, followed by a presentation on Adisseo’s vision and strategic direction by Mr. Monir El Edrissi, Regional Director – IMEA.
One of the key technical sessions focused on the Rhodimet market and hydroxy methionine in poultry, with particular attention to efficacy and its wider applications in modern poultry nutrition. The session was conducted by Mr. Ponnambalarajan, Regional Rhodimet Business Manager – ISC, and Dr. Pascal Thiery, Technical Director – IMEA.
The discussion then moved to the increasingly important area of precision feed application. Mr. Niraj Gupta, Regional Application Manager – ISC, delivered a session on the precision application of Rhodimet AT88, covering different liquid application systems, implementation approaches and related services.
After a short break, participants returned for a further round of technical discussions. Dr. Pascal Thiery presented “From Constraint to Opportunity: Leveraging Anti-Nutritional Factors,” examining how effective management of anti-nutritional factors can help address nutritional limitations and create opportunities for improved feed utilization and production performance.
Another major technical highlight was “Unlocking Additional Value: Rovabio Services – Predictor,” presented by Dr. Shiva Kumar, Technical Manager – ISC. The session explored the value of technical services and tools related to feed digestibility, reinforcing the broader focus of the event on maximizing efficiency and extracting greater value from feed resources.
The technical presentations were followed by an interactive Q&A session, coordinated by Dr. Pragati Salutgi, Regional Category Manager – Feed Digestibility, ISC. The session allowed participants to engage directly with the speakers and discuss issues and challenges relevant to Bangladesh’s poultry and feed industry.
Senior officials of Adyan Agro Ltd. also attended the event, including Mr. Jamil Hossain, Chairman of Adyan Agro Ltd.; Dr. Protik Kanti Roy, Director of Adyan Agro Ltd.; and Md. Shofekul Islam of Adyan Agro Ltd.
Their presence, alongside representatives from across the poultry and feed value chain, underscored the importance of stronger collaboration between technology providers, industry leaders, scientists and practitioners in advancing Bangladesh’s animal health and poultry sectors.
The breadth of participation was one of the defining features of the gathering. Nutritionists, entrepreneurs, feed mill engineers, researchers, consultants and senior industry professionals shared the same platform, creating an environment where scientific knowledge could be connected with commercial and operational realities.
The discussions highlighted several areas that are becoming increasingly important to the competitiveness of modern poultry production—including amino acid nutrition, feed digestibility, enzyme technology, precision application, management of anti-nutritional factors and improved feed efficiency.
More broadly, the event emphasized a shift in the poultry industry toward integrated, science-based approaches in which nutritional precision, technological innovation and technical support work together to improve productivity and efficiency.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Tarun, Commercial Director – ISC, followed by dinner.
The concluding address was delivered by Dr. Jamil Hossain, Chairman of Adyan Agro Ltd. In his remarks, Dr. Jamil thanked the participants and emphasized the importance of continued cooperation, knowledge exchange and technological advancement for the sustainable growth of Bangladesh’s poultry, feed and animal health industries.
