Special Correspondent : Bangladesh’s feed manufacturing sector took another step toward embracing advanced industrial technologies as the Agro Industries Engineers’ Association of Bangladesh (AIEAB) and global feed engineering company FAMSUN jointly organized a day-long international technical seminar at Dhaka Regency Hotel on July 24, Friday.
The event brought together feed mill engineers, factory managers, industry entrepreneurs and technical professionals to exchange knowledge on next-generation feed manufacturing technologies, including advanced feed milling systems, silo engineering, factory operation and management, and smart digital feed mills.
The seminar was inaugurated by Md. Zahurul Islam, President of AIEAB, alongside Didarul Alam, Secretary of AIEAB. Representing FAMSUN were Jason Wang, Director & Vice President, George Gao, CEO, South Asia, Sunny Gao, Country Head, Bangladesh, and Sheik Mosiul Hasan, Head of Sales, Bangladesh, who addressed participants on the importance of technological innovation and international collaboration in modern feed production.
A major highlight of the program was a series of technical presentations delivered by FAMSUN’s international experts. Bob Zhang presented the company’s latest innovations in advanced feed milling technology, showcasing modern engineering solutions designed to improve productivity, efficiency and operational performance.
The technical sessions continued with Gawin Gao, who discussed modern silo technology, focusing on efficient storage systems and engineering solutions that support feed manufacturing operations. Another key presentation was delivered by Jeff Chen, who shared practical insights into factory operation and management, emphasizing efficient plant management strategies and operational excellence. Later in the afternoon, Jeff Chen returned to present FAMSUN’s vision for Smart/Digital Feed Mills, highlighting the growing role of digital technologies, automation and intelligent manufacturing in the future of the global feed industry.
Following the technical sessions, participants actively engaged in an interactive question-and-answer session and a quiz competition, allowing engineers and industry professionals to discuss practical challenges and emerging opportunities in Bangladesh’s feed manufacturing sector.
Beyond the technical discussions, the organizers arranged several networking and recreational activities, including tennis ball throwing, dart and football kick competitions, creating opportunities for stronger professional relationships among members and industry stakeholders.
The association also utilized the gathering to introduce its Executive Committee, discuss the formation of working committees, review strategies for strengthening the organization, and present future development plans. The future roadmap of AIEAB was presented by Md. Shariful Islam, Assistant Secretary, Sports and Cultural Committee, and Rashed Khan Menon, Secretary, Media and Publications Committee, AIEAB.
The evening session featured a cultural program followed by a prize-giving ceremony and raffle draw. The awards were presented by Md. Zahurul Islam, President of AIEAB; Md. Mohsin Khan, Senior Vice President, AIEAB; Jason Wang, Director & Vice President, FAMSUN; George Gao, CEO, South Asia; Sunny Gao, Country Head, Bangladesh; and Rong Chen, General Manager, South Asia.
The seminar concluded with closing remarks from Md. Zahurul Islam, Sunny Gao, and Sheik Mosiul Hasan, who reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation between Bangladesh’s feed industry and global technology providers. They expressed optimism that the adoption of advanced engineering solutions, digital technologies and modern management practices would contribute significantly to improving the efficiency, competitiveness and long-term sustainability of Bangladesh’s feed manufacturing sector.
