
Special Correspondent: A high-profile technical seminar and inauguration ceremony was held today (November 08) at Sarah Resort in Gazipur as Popular Pharmaceuticals PLC officially launched three next-generation veterinary vaccines developed by Klybeck Life Sciences. The event brought together senior officials, veterinary specialists, researchers and industry leaders, reflecting the growing national emphasis on modern livestock healthcare.
The seminar opened with an address from Dr. Sazzad Hossain, National Sales Manager of the Animal Health Unit at Popular, who stressed the importance of innovative tools for safeguarding Bangladesh’s poultry and cattle sectors. This was followed by a formal introduction of the Klybeck delegation by Dr. Abdullah Mamun.

Klybeck’s Group Director for Sales, Marketing and Export, Darko Grahovac, delivered a detailed business overview, outlining the company’s global footprint and its long-term commitment to supporting livestock health through scientific excellence. He noted that the collaboration with Popular Pharmaceuticals represents a significant step toward expanding advanced veterinary solutions in Bangladesh.
Dr. Ahmed Elshafei presented an overview of Klybeck’s innovation platform, highlighting the scientific rigor and technology behind the newly launched vaccines. These formulations provide heightened immunity against Avian Influenza (H9), Newcastle Disease and Lumpy Skin Disease—three of the most economically damaging challenges for local farmers.
A comprehensive technical session followed, conducted by Dr. Hussein, Group Chief Technical Manager of Klybeck, who discussed vaccine performance, field application protocols and global disease management strategies. His scientific insights drew strong engagement from veterinarians across the region.

Mohammod Shafiqul Islam, Director of Marketing at Popular Pharmaceuticals, later shared the company’s broader business vision, emphasizing how global partnerships are enabling the delivery of safer and more effective animal health solutions nationwide. Local guest speakers praised both organizations for their efforts to modernize livestock healthcare and promote disease-free farming.
