
Special Correspondent : The ACME Laboratories Ltd. organized a scientific seminar on “Poultry Vaccines & Vaccination” on Thursday (10th September) at InterContinental Dhaka, bringing together international technical experts and professionals from Bangladesh’s poultry industry to discuss science-driven approaches to vaccination and improved disease prevention.
The seminar focused on the scientific and practical aspects of poultry vaccination, including modern vaccination technologies, proper vaccine application and strategies for achieving better vaccination outcomes under field conditions. The event also provided a platform for introducing ACME’s Poultry Vaccine Portfolio.
The seminar featured technical experts from Green Cross, Korea, and Vaccine Valley, Egypt, who shared their knowledge and perspectives on poultry vaccines and vaccination practices.
Among the international speakers were Hyukjoon Kwon, Professor of Poultry Medicine, College of Veterinary Medicine, Seoul National University (SNU), Korea; Jaehoon Kim, CDO, Korea; Dr. Mohamed Adel, Commercial Director, Vaccine Valley; and Dr. Abdelrahman Shahin, Export Manager, Vaccine Valley.

The participation of experts from leading international organizations added a strong technical dimension to the seminar, particularly in addressing the importance of scientific decision-making and appropriate vaccination practices for maintaining poultry health and production performance.
Senior Poultry Consultant Dr. N.C. Banik also delivered a special address at the event, contributing his expertise to the discussion on poultry vaccination and industry practices.

Representing ACME Laboratories, Mohammad Ziauddin, Head of Marketing; Mukut Das Sharma, Senior Manager, Marketing; and Md. Aftab Ali, NSM attended the seminar. Mohammad Ziauddin delivered the closing remarks, formally concluding the scientific session.
The seminar underscored the growing importance of scientifically guided vaccination programs in modern poultry production. With disease prevention, vaccination efficacy and proper field-level application becoming increasingly critical to poultry health management, such knowledge-sharing initiatives can contribute to more effective and sustainable production practices.
The event brought together international expertise and local industry engagement, reinforcing the importance of collaboration, scientific knowledge and technology in strengthening Bangladesh’s poultry sector.
