
Special Correspondent : ICC Animal Nutrition, in partnership with ACE Pharmaceuticals, successfully hosted a technical seminar titled “Immune Connection: Driving Performance Through Integrated Health & Immunity” today ( 13 June ) at Dhaka Regency Hotel & Resort, bringing together leading nutritionists, veterinarians, consultants, feed manufacturers, and aquaculture professionals from across Bangladesh.
The event opened with a presentation by Dr. Rajib Dutta, Technical Business Manager (South Asia), who highlighted ICC Animal Nutrition’s global expertise in yeast-based nutritional technologies and its commitment to improving animal health, performance, and sustainability.

A key session by Dr. Kuo Wei Ssu, Sales Director – Asia, focused on “Redefining Yeast: The ICC Uniqueness.” He explained how ICC’s proprietary sugarcane ethanol yeast technology differs from conventional baker’s and brewer’s yeast, delivering superior consistency, functionality, and performance through its unique production process and bioactive components.
The keynote presentation was delivered by Dr. Melina Bonato, Global Technical & R&D Manager, on the vital connection between gut health, immunity, and animal performance. She highlighted the benefits of hydrolyzed yeast solutions such as Hilyses® in aquaculture nutrition and presented results from a Nile tilapia trial conducted in Bangladesh, demonstrating significant improvements in fish health and performance under local farming conditions. Dr. Bonato also shared findings of this trial published in an international peer-reviewed scientific journal, reinforcing the scientific foundation of ICC’s technologies.

The seminar concluded with an interactive discussion session and closing remarks from Dr. Mostafa Alam, CEO of ACE Pharmaceuticals, who emphasized the importance of innovation, scientific collaboration, and preventive nutrition in advancing Bangladesh’s livestock, poultry, and aquaculture industries. Dr. Alam also announced that ACE Pharmaceuticals has officially begun distributing ICC’s FIX LINE® solutions in Bangladesh.
