Zyvanta™ Summit 2025 Unveiled in Dhaka: Kemin AquaScience Ushers in a New Era of Sustainable Aquaculture

Special Correspondent: In a significant leap forward for Bangladesh’s aquaculture industry, Kemin Industries officially launched Zyvanta™ through a high-profile event titled “Zyvanta™ Summit 2025 Bangladesh”, held this evening (19 July) at the elegant Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel, Dhaka. The summit was not only a ceremonial unveiling but also a scientific and technical congregation that brought together aquaculture professionals, nutrition experts, industry leaders, and researchers under one roof.

The event began at 5:30 PM with the welcoming and registration of participants. Following the evening prayer and light refreshments, the formal session commenced with a warm and spirited welcome address by Dr. Rajesh Sikder, Senior Manager – Sales, who emphasized the importance of innovation in aquaculture and Kemin’s growing involvement in the Bangladeshi market.

Setting the stage for the evening’s discussions, Dr. Chinnadurai Sugumar, Marketing Director of Kemin Aquaculture Division, presented “This is Kemin” – an overview of the company’s legacy, mission, and extensive global contributions to animal nutrition, with a particular focus on aquaculture. He reinforced Kemin’s vision of science-led, sustainability-driven innovation in feed solutions that address the evolving needs of fish and shrimp producers.

The technical sessions began with an engaging and data-rich keynote by Dr. Noratat Prachom, an internationally respected expert in Aquatic Animal Nutrition and Feed Technology. His presentation on the “Dynamics of Enzymes in Fish Feed Nutrition” offered in-depth insights into how enzymes can enhance feed conversion ratios, reduce waste, and improve fish health and pond ecology – all of which are essential in a competitive and resource-sensitive industry like aquaculture.

Continuing the scientific narrative, Dr. Bindhu Lakshmibai Vasanthakumari, Leader of Enzyme Technology in Kemin’s R&D division, delivered a powerful presentation titled “Enzyme Innovation at Kemin: From Discovery to Intelligent Design.” She showcased the rigorous research, technological advancements, and data-backed formulation strategies behind Kemin’s enzyme portfolio, particularly how Zyvanta™ was developed to address specific challenges in aquaculture nutrition.

The spotlight then turned to Zyvanta™ itself. Dr. Bernard Joy, Product Manager II, took the audience through “Zyvanta – Beyond Nutrition,” highlighting its multifaceted benefits that go beyond traditional feed additives. He explained how Zyvanta™ supports better digestion, nutrient absorption, intestinal health, and resilience in aquatic animals, making it a holistic nutritional tool for modern fish and shrimp farming.

Adding to the practical side of implementation, Mr. Manab Samanta, Regional Business Manager – millSMART, presented “Zyvanta – Application Technology,” where he detailed the practical considerations for integrating Zyvanta™ into different feed systems. His session addressed feed mill optimization, usage protocols, and real-world outcomes observed in trials, particularly in South Asian contexts similar to Bangladesh.

An interactive Q&A panel discussion followed, featuring all key speakers: Dr. Noratat, Dr. Bindhu, Dr. Bernard, Mr. Manab, and Dr. M. Rajalekshmi, Director – R&D. The session allowed for active engagement with the audience, where participants posed thoughtful questions regarding Zyvanta™’s application in various farming conditions, its adaptability to local species, and expected ROI for farmers and feed manufacturers.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from Mr. Krishnan P, Regional Director – South Asia, who expressed gratitude to the guests, technical team, and partners for making the Zyvanta™ Summit a milestone occasion. He reaffirmed Kemin’s long-term commitment to the Bangladeshi aquaculture sector and its dedication to bringing science-backed, sustainable solutions that benefit producers, consumers, and the environment.

Moreover, Zyvanta™ an innovative enzyme-based solution already introduced to the local market, is designed to elevate aquafeed performance through improved nutrient utilization, gut health, and feed efficiency. The summit aimed to present the science behind Zyvanta™, its applications, and its potential to drive sustainable and productive aquaculture practices in Bangladesh.

With the successful hosting of Zyvanta™ Summit 2025, Kemin has set a new benchmark in the knowledge-sharing landscape of aquaculture. The event not only showcased a product but initiated a collaborative vision for a more efficient, profitable and eco-friendly aquaculture future in Bangladesh. As Zyvanta™ begins its journey in the field, it promises to play a transformative role in driving growth and resilience in this vital sector.
