AFEZYME : A Breakthrough in Animal Feed Enzyme Technology by Finely animal care

AgriNews24 business desk : Finely Animal Care Co., Ltd., a leading enterprise in the field of biological feed additives, has announced the launch of its new high-performance enzyme product AFEZYME SUPER PHYTASE HG/HP/Q (Super heat stable phytase) developed using a unique strain of Aspergillus niger, AFEZYME phytase represents a major advancement in phytase enzyme technology for livestock feed applications. They have been producing and exporting phytase to the world form 30 years.

Unlike conventional phytase products, AFEZYME HG/HP/Q is characterized by its remarkable heat resistance and wide pH tolerance, making it highly stable under demanding feed processing conditions. Laboratory results show that the enzyme retains more than 90% of its activity after exposure to an 85°C water bath for six minutes. This performance far exceeds that of typical phytase products currently on the market. In addition, AFEZYME phytase maintains over 90% of its enzyme activity across a pH range of 2.0 to 7.0, allowing it to function effectively throughout the digestive systems of various animal species.

Finely Animal Care’s research and development team has carefully engineered AFEZYME phytase in three forms to accommodate different feed manufacturing needs: micro-granular (HG), powder (HP), and liquid (Q), each with precise enzyme concentrations ranging from 10,000 to 200,000 units per gram. The product’s fine particle size and excellent free-flowing characteristics enable it to mix evenly with feed ingredients, ensuring optimal contact with phytate compounds and maximizing nutrient release.

The product’s bio-efficiency is evident in its matrix values, which show improved availability of key nutrients such as phosphorus, calcium, energy, protein, and amino acids. Through its enzymatic action, AFEZYME phytase enhances the breakdown of phytate, releasing nutrients that are otherwise locked away and poorly absorbed by animals. This allows feed producers to reduce or even eliminate the need for added inorganic phosphorus sources such as mono-calcium phosphate, reducing both costs and environmental phosphorus emissions.

Performance trials conducted on broiler chickens demonstrated AFEZYME’s superior effects on growth rates, feed intake, and bone mineralization. In one study involving 800 broilers divided into four groups, birds receiving AFEZYME phytase achieved an average daily gain of 35.7 grams and a feed conversion ratio of 1.22, significantly outperforming the phosphorus-deficient control group and even a competitor’s phytase product. In another trial with 6,000 birds, AFEZYME phytase delivered the highest weight gain and bone ash levels despite being administered at a lower dosage than other leading products, indicating its exceptional potency and cost-efficiency.

Finely Animal Care emphasizes that enzyme stability should be tested under conditions that mirror real-world challenges. The company recommends a specific testing protocol involving water bath exposure at high temperatures, arguing that this method provides a more accurate reflection of how the enzyme behaves during feed pelleting. The company also highlights the importance of testing both enzyme activity in feed and phytate degradation in animal excrement to evaluate real efficacy.

The product’s heat and pH resistance is further supported by comparative thermostability tests and kinetic studies. AFEZYME has a lower Km value (0.26 mM) than other brands, indicating stronger substrate affinity and faster nutrient release. Additionally, tests involving pepsin solutions confirmed that AFEZYME phytase retains bioactivity even in the presence of digestive enzymes, making it a reliable choice throughout the animal’s gastrointestinal tract.

According to Finely Animal Care, while standard phytase dosages range from 500 to 750 units per kilogram of feed, higher dosages—up to 1500 units or more—can further increase nutrient utilization, especially in corn and soybean-based diets. This flexibility offers producers an opportunity to optimize feed efficiency and improve returns without overburdening their formulation costs.

With advanced manufacturing capabilities and certifications from GMP+, ISO, and FDA, Finely Animal Care is committed to providing innovative and sustainable feed solutions. AFEZYME HG/HP/Q reflects this mission, combining scientific excellence with practical benefits for feed producers and livestock growers worldwide.

Finely Animal Care invites industry stakeholders to consider AFEZYME HG/HP/Q not only as a replacement for traditional phosphorus supplements but as a modern tool for enhancing animal health, performance, and profitability in a responsible and eco-friendly manner.
